Beyond the financial gift, Allegiant is integrating itself into the hospital's culture by sponsoring an employee recognition program. Honorees of the Daisy, Sunflower, Lily, and Bee awards—given monthly to staff across various departments—will now receive flight vouchers for use on any Allegiant route. Robert Neal, President and CFO of Allegiant, noted that the airline feels a strong responsibility to the East Tennessee community, which has served as a central hub for their operations since they established a crew base there in 2018.

The 152-bed facility, renamed in 2026, functions as one of four Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Centers in Tennessee. Adam Cook, the hospital’s Chief Development and Public Affairs Officer, stated that the contribution directly aids their mission of providing specialized care to critically ill children. This initiative aligns with Allegiant’s broader expansion in the region, which includes the recent introduction of themed "Flight #925" services from Orlando to Knoxville, celebrating the cultural influence of the hospital's namesake.
