The new appointments are designed to bolster the company’s financial, audit, and governance expertise as it scales the commercialization of its battery materials. Each of the three incoming directors is recognized as an "audit committee financial expert" under SEC guidelines.

Kimi L. Ellen, a CPA and managing partner at Benford Brown & Associates, joins the compensation and audit committees. Mark N. Schwartz, who brings experience from previous board roles at Starbucks and Onfolio Holdings, will chair the compensation committee and serve on the audit committee. Dante W. Robinson, currently the chief of internal affairs at the State Compensation Insurance Fund, joins the nominating and governance committee alongside the audit committee. Following these changes, the board has updated its committee chair assignments, with Karin-Joyce Tjon leading the audit committee and John Davis chairing the nominating and governance committee.
