TotalEnergies Repurchases 1.59 Million Shares in Late August Buyback

TotalEnergies SE executed a significant share buyback program between August 24 and August 28, 2026, acquiring 1,594,110 shares for a total investment of approximately 119.99 million euros. The transactions were conducted following authorization granted by the company's shareholders during the general meeting held on May 29, 2026.

The energy giant carried out these repurchases across several exchanges, including XPAR, CEUX, TQEX, and AQEU. Daily purchase volumes remained consistent throughout the five-day period, with share prices fluctuating from a high of 76.41 euros on August 24 to a low of 74.56 euros by August 27. The weighted average price for the total volume reached 75.27 euros per share.

This activity aligns with the company's stated financial strategy and regulatory obligations regarding share repurchases. TotalEnergies continues to manage its capital structure while maintaining its integrated global operations in oil, biofuels, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors. The company, which employs over 100,000 people across 120 countries, confirmed that these transactions comply with the mandates set by its investor base earlier this year.
