As the Head of Research at Hopelab, Green focuses on centering the voices of young people to influence systemic policy and program development. Her career spans over two decades, including a tenure as Vice President of Research at The Trevor Project, where she championed crisis services and peer support for LGBTQ+ youth. Her recent work includes testifying before the California State Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee regarding the influence of social media on LGBTQ+ adolescent well-being, an effort rooted in her extensive national survey data.
Jaspal Sandhu, President and CEO of Hopelab, noted that the recognition reflects both the rigor and the passion Green brings to her research. The Fierce 50 program, now in its fourth year, highlights individuals who drive progress across the life sciences spectrum, from laboratory innovation to grassroots advocacy. By integrating implementation science with a focus on Black, Brown, and Queer youth, Green remains a pivotal figure in the effort to improve mental health outcomes on a national scale.
