The Irving, Texas-based retailer is positioning the updated base as a structural upgrade capable of supporting heavier topping loads, such as their signature 3-Meat variety. Brandon Brown, Senior Vice President of Fresh Foods and Beverages, stated that the product was engineered to provide a golden, bubbly foundation meant to withstand the company's various meat and cheese combinations.
To incentivize trials, the company has launched three distinct promotional tiers running through October. Customers can purchase two slices for $5, while loyalty members using 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards programs can pair a single slice with a 20-ounce soda for $4. Additionally, the company is leveraging its 7NOW delivery platform to offer whole large pizzas for $6.99 through the end of September. These localized offers apply across the company's network of over 12,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada, marking a significant push to capture market share in the convenience-store prepared food sector.
