The expansion centers on Naval Base San Diego, where BAXIMUS founders Phil Thomas and Kris Wellmaker are spearheading operations. Both partners bring over 15 years of restaurant industry experience to the project, intending to integrate the brand's convenience-focused model into the daily routines of military personnel. To supplement these brick-and-mortar sites, BAXIMUS has also deployed a mobile food truck to serve remote installations and events where traditional dining remains sparse.

Growth extends beyond California. New sites are slated for the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and Naval Station Mayport in Florida, where franchisee Keyur Chauhan will manage development. In California, franchisee Tony Dao is expanding his reach to the Navy Exchange at Port Hueneme and Naval Air Station Lemoore. These additions align with the chain’s broader strategy of utilizing flexible, non-traditional formats—such as modular units—to secure prime real estate on military bases, college campuses, and sports venues.
