Haier Brings AI-Driven Robotics to IFA 2026

Under the banner "Home of Intelligent Possibilities," Haier arrives at IFA 2026 in Berlin this week to demonstrate how machine learning and robotics are moving beyond standalone appliances. The company, which has led global appliance sales for 17 years, aims to prove that AI can finally create a truly cohesive domestic ecosystem.

The exhibition, running September 4–8 in Hall 3.1, marks a pivot for the brand from traditional hardware to integrated services. Visitors can expect demonstrations of the hOn platform, which links refrigeration, garment care, and cooking appliances into a single learning network that adapts to individual user habits. Beyond kitchen and laundry improvements, the showcase features a significant push into embodied intelligence, including humanoid robots and AI-powered exoskeletons built to assist with mobility and household tasks.

This technology rollout relies on Haier's long-standing strategy of hyper-localization. Despite serving over 1 billion households across 200 countries, the manufacturer avoids a uniform global product line. Instead, it leverages R&D hubs tailored to specific regional climates and consumer lifestyles. Wang Meiyan, Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, emphasized that the goal is to move past simple connectivity, focusing instead on responsiveness that provides genuine utility in daily life. The company will host a formal unveiling of these systems on September 3 at 3 p.m. CEST.
