The initiative transforms the familiar ritual of ordering a pizza into a charitable engine. Neighborhood pizzerias across the country, from Tampa’s Jay Luigi to Chicago’s Professor Pizza, are inviting customers to contribute through register round-ups and specialized promotional efforts. The campaign aims to bridge the gap between casual dining and clinical research, turning the pizza industry into a cohesive force for pediatric health.
Key partners are amplifying the reach of these local efforts. DeIorio’s is printing campaign messaging on 40,000 cases of dough, while Scott’s Pizza Tours and Orlando Foods have committed direct donations based on sales volume. Pizza Bib, the campaign’s inaugural partner, has provided custom-designed pizza boxes to ensure the mission remains visible at every dining table. According to Dawn Zachman, Chief Growth & Impact Officer at the NPCF, the goal is to leverage the universal appeal of pizza to accelerate life-saving medical discoveries. For those looking to participate, the foundation is directing support through local storefronts and their central portal, PizzaForGood.org.
