The current round of funding provides capital for equipment, student certifications, and curriculum materials. Eligible applicants include both established ProStart classrooms seeking enhancement and schools aiming to launch the program for the first time.

ProStart serves as a pipeline into the restaurant and hospitality sector, which currently ranks as the nation’s second-largest private employer. The curriculum combines 400 hours of practical work experience with core management and culinary training. Applications for the 2026 cycle must be submitted by September 24, with final award recipients scheduled for notification in late October.
