The brand’s growth was fueled by a surge in diversified powertrain demand, with hybrid sales climbing 99 percent and the total electrified lineup rising 36 percent compared to August 2025. Six core models—Telluride, Seltos, Sportage, Carnival, K5, and K4—delivered their strongest August performances to date, underscoring the market's appetite for the company's current SUV and sedan offerings.
Eric Watson, vice president of sales operations for Kia America, attributed the momentum to the broad appeal of the current product catalog. Looking ahead, the company aims to sustain this trajectory through the end of the year, bolstered by the introduction of the 2027 EV3. This entry-level electric SUV, priced at $29,890, serves as a cornerstone for the brand's goal of securing a fourth consecutive annual sales record. Alongside the EV3 rollout, Kia is refreshing its 2027 Sportage and Niro lineups, integrating updated technology and standardized premium features to maintain competitiveness across the gas-powered and hybrid segments.
