John Hancock Funds Announce Quarterly Distribution Schedule

John Hancock Investment Management has confirmed its quarterly distribution schedule for four closed-end funds, setting a payment date of September 30, 2026. The distributions cover the Diversified Income Fund (HEQ), Income Securities Trust (JHS), Investors Trust (JHI), and the Financial Opportunities Fund (BTO). The HEQ and BTO funds will continue to operate under their respective managed distribution plans, maintaining fixed quarterly payments of $0.2500 and $0.6500 per share, respectively. Market prices as of August 31, 2026, placed the Financial Opportunities Fund at $39.36 per share, while the Diversified Income Fund traded at $11.75.

Management noted that these payouts may draw from net investment income, realized capital gains, or return of capital. Because some distributions may include a return of capital, the firm will provide shareholders with estimated component notices at the time of payment. These estimates are preliminary, and final tax characterization will be confirmed via Form 1099-DIV after the close of the calendar year. Investors are encouraged to monitor the company website for further updates regarding the distribution components.
