Verdera Energy Sells New Mexico Treeline Project to Americas Uranium

Vancouver-based Verdera Energy has finalized an agreement to divest its 100% interest in the Treeline Uranium Project in New Mexico to Americas Uranium Corp. The deal, which includes a mix of cash and staged equity payments, marks a strategic pivot for Verdera as it streamlines its portfolio to prioritize large-scale assets.

Under the terms of the agreement, Americas Uranium will pay US$100,000 in cash upon closing, supplemented by C$2 million in common shares distributed over a three-year period. The transaction also grants Verdera a 1.5% net proceeds royalty on uranium and a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty on other minerals, with an option for Americas Uranium to reduce these royalties by C$400,000.

CEO Janet Lee-Sheriff noted that the divestment allows the company to refocus its resources on four primary properties backed by historical data from major oil firms. While the Treeline site, located in Cibola and McKinley counties, holds historical estimates of 1,020,000 pounds of U3O8, it was deemed non-core to Verdera’s current development pipeline. The company continues to leverage a proprietary database containing over 200,000 drill hole logs to identify further exploration targets across its extensive New Mexico land holdings.
