Under the terms of the acquisition, the Maryland-based dental practice will operate as Schiff Dental CPAs by Trout CPA. The transition allows Schiff & Associates, founded in 2006, to leverage the parent firm’s expanded resources and technology infrastructure while maintaining the personalized service model its clients expect. Founder Allen M. Schiff noted that the integration provides his staff and clients with the stability and scale of a larger organization, ensuring long-term continuity.

Trout CPA, which currently ranks 178th on the Inside Public Accounting Top 500 list, adds this acquisition to its diverse service offerings, which span construction, real estate, and healthcare. Managing Partner Todd L. Harrington stated that the merger serves as a vital component of the firm's growth strategy. Following the deal, Trout CPA now employs 180 team members, including 21 partners, providing a comprehensive suite of accounting and advisory solutions to a growing base of clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
