Heven AeroTech Opens Winchester Facility to Scale Hydrogen Drone Output

Moving to secure domestic supply chains, Heven AeroTech has launched a 56,000-square-foot production facility in Winchester, Virginia. This site marks the company’s first East Coast manufacturing hub, serving as the blueprint for a coast-to-coast network designed to transition hydrogen-powered drone production from boutique prototyping to industrialized, repeatable scale.

The Virginia plant represents a rapid shift in operational strategy, having been brought online within 90 days. According to company leadership, this speed is intended to meet the tactical demands of defense partners, specifically those utilizing the Blue UAS Select Z1 hydrogen-powered drone. The facility aims to establish standardized quality systems and supply chain infrastructure that will be replicated across the firm's future sites.

Founder and CEO Bentzion Levinson noted that current national security interests require a sovereign technology base capable of high-volume output. To support this growth, the company plans to hire hundreds of manufacturing technicians, aircraft assembly specialists, and supply chain managers as the network expands. The long-term roadmap for these facilities includes dedicated hydrogen R&D labs and automated manufacturing zones to support both defense and humanitarian mission requirements.
