Since its inception in 1996, the campaign has evolved into a comprehensive platform for financial education. This year, the organization is pushing public participation through several initiatives, including the long-running "Getting Paid In America" survey. Participants have until September 14 to complete the survey for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize and a bonus paycheck.
Beyond surveys, PayrollOrg is offering a suite of resources to assist employees in navigating their compensation. These include a free eBook, "Understanding Your Pay," and online tools like the 401(k) Calculator. The organization is also promoting volunteerism through its Money Matters program, which trains volunteers to teach financial fundamentals to students and community groups. Dan Maddux, executive director of PayrollOrg, noted that the initiative serves dual purposes: honoring the industry professionals who manage the logistical complexities of payday and providing employees with the tools to build their own financial stability. Further information on the week’s events and scholarship opportunities is available at the official campaign website.
