The new facility spans 106,000 square meters in the Trenčín Region, representing a KRW 250 billion investment. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico joined company CEO Lee Gyu Suk at the grand opening, signaling the importance of the site to the regional automotive supply chain. The plant focuses on the production of stators, inverters, and complete PE systems to serve both domestic manufacturers and global automakers operating in Europe, such as Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Volvo.

This site complements existing battery system assembly operations in the Czech Republic and Spain. By localizing production of these core components, Hyundai Mobis aims to shorten supply chains and accelerate its transition toward future mobility. The company has set a target to increase revenue from non-affiliated global customers to 40% by 2033, utilizing this Slovak hub as a primary engine for that growth.
