Eluvio Debuts Global Broadcast Fabric to Replace Satellite Infrastructure

Eluvio is challenging traditional media distribution at IBC 2026, unveiling a decentralized Global Broadcast Fabric designed to replace satellite and legacy cloud workflows. By utilizing a zero-copy architecture, the platform aims to slash latency to sub-500ms levels while integrating AI-driven monetization directly into the streaming pipeline.

The Berkeley-based company, founded by Aspera inventors Michelle Munson and Serban Simu, positions its new infrastructure as a more efficient alternative to standard content delivery networks. By eliminating egress fan-out charges and internal transit fees, the system allows broadcasters to manage live feeds and direct-to-consumer streams through a unified, frame-accurate protocol. During a recent commercial pilot for the World Cup, the technology reportedly outperformed legacy streaming services by over 15 seconds.

A core component of the rollout is the integration of inline, frame-accurate AI. This allows for real-time applications such as personalized virtual signage in live sports and automated content clipping without the need for transcoding or file movement. To facilitate broader adoption, Eluvio is also introducing "Pocket TV" microsites, which enable frictionless, one-click transactions for viewers. The company will demonstrate these capabilities, including live-stream management and multi-DRM security, at the RAI Amsterdam during the IBC conference from September 11–14.
