The new policy complements existing safeguards required by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), such as mandatory fund segregation and contributions to the Investor Compensation Fund. Mitrade funds the insurance entirely, offering it automatically to eligible clients without extra fees. While the policy provides a potential safety net, it carries a maximum aggregate limit of €1 million and explicitly excludes losses stemming from market movements or standard trading activity.
Timur Konsky, CEO of Mitrade EU, framed the move as a shift toward proactive risk mitigation. By moving beyond the statutory baseline, the firm intends to differentiate its service through demonstrated security measures rather than marketing rhetoric. The broker, which operates under CySEC license CIF438/23, currently services a global client base of over 7 million traders across various international jurisdictions.
