Investors Target Cogent Communications in Securities Fraud Lawsuit

Investors who held Cogent Communications Holdings stock between February 29, 2024, and May 1, 2026, face a critical deadline of September 21, 2026, to join a class action lawsuit. The litigation alleges the company misled the market by inflating its backlog with orders that were fundamentally incapable of generating actual revenue.

The complaint filed against the NASDAQ-listed firm centers on violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Plaintiffs allege that Cogent’s public disclosures regarding its revenue and margin targets were materially misleading throughout the specified class period. By reporting orders unlikely to convert into earnings, the company allegedly obscured its true financial health from shareholders.

The DJS Law Group, led by David Schwartz, is currently soliciting participants for the action. While the firm is managing the case, shareholders are not required to serve as lead plaintiffs to recover potential losses. Investors seeking to participate in the litigation should contact the firm before the mid-September deadline to discuss their legal standing and potential recovery options.
