Nasdaq Grants DeFi Technologies Extension to Meet Listing Rules

DeFi Technologies has secured a second 180-day grace period from Nasdaq, extending its deadline to March 1, 2027, to resolve a minimum bid price deficiency. The Toronto-based firm remains listed under the ticker DEFT while it works to push its share price back above the mandatory US$1.00 threshold.

The extension follows an initial notification received on March 5, 2026, when the company’s stock fell below the US$1.00 minimum for 30 consecutive business days. To regain full compliance, the company must maintain a closing bid price of at least US$1.00 for a minimum of ten consecutive business days before the new March deadline expires.

Regulators granted the extra time because the firm continues to meet all other Nasdaq Capital Market listing standards, including requirements for the market value of publicly held shares. Trading remains unaffected by the ongoing compliance process, and the company has signaled its intent to actively monitor its market position and evaluate strategies to cure the deficit. While the extension provides a operational buffer, management acknowledged that no assurance exists that the company will successfully reach the required price target within the allotted timeframe.
