Equity Bancshares Expands Iowa Footprint with $124 Million Acquisition

Wichita-based Equity Bancshares is set to acquire Lincoln Bancorp in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $123.8 million. The move signals a strategic push into the Iowa market, integrating Lincoln’s regional network into Equity’s existing financial infrastructure and pushing its total assets beyond the $9 billion threshold.

The deal, announced Thursday, involves a payout structure split between 77.5% stock and 22.5% cash. By absorbing Reinbeck-based Lincoln Bancorp, Equity Bancshares gains control of 16 additional locations and $1.7 billion in existing assets. The acquisition is currently scheduled to finalize by the end of the year, pending standard regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Once integrated, the combined entity will command a substantially larger footprint across the Midwest.
