Martty Martínez Fraticelli Honored for Clinical Pharmacy Innovation

The accolade recognizes his long-standing efforts to shift pharmacy benefit management from simple administrative claims processing toward a model centered on proactive clinical oversight and patient safety.

Since co-founding PharmPix in 2009, Martínez Fraticelli has championed the integration of clinical intelligence directly into the adjudication process. His strategy utilizes the proprietary OneArk platform to detect potential drug interactions, improper dosing, and therapy duplication at the point of sale. This real-time capability allows pharmacists and health plans to intervene before medication is dispensed, rather than relying on retrospective analysis.

This shift in methodology addresses the core philosophy that a prescription can be technically correct but clinically inappropriate for a specific patient. According to Eric Frontera Zayas, PharmPix’s Senior Vice President of PBM Services, the company’s internal culture has been reshaped by the mandate to prioritize therapy safety and value over standard transaction processing. As the industry faces new transparency requirements under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, the company aims to move beyond mere financial disclosure toward actionable clinical results.
