Pasch arrives at Academy after a lengthy tenure at Burlington, where he most recently served as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. His background includes overseeing HR functions for merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and corporate support divisions. At Academy, he will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Steve Lawrence.

His appointment follows the retirement of William S. Ennis, who previously held the position. Academy currently operates more than 300 stores across 21 states, maintaining a focus on outdoor, apparel, and sports equipment. The company continues to lean on a localized merchandising strategy to support its growth since its founding in 1938.
