Transamerica Expands Managed Account Access with Great Lakes Advisors

The expansion leverages Transamerica’s distribution scale alongside the established investment track record of Great Lakes Advisors. By adding this strategy to its managed account platform, Transamerica aims to simplify the implementation of large-cap value exposure for advisors navigating increasingly concentrated equity markets. The strategy is already accessible through major financial platforms, including Morgan Stanley, LPL Financial, Charles Schwab, and Envestnet.

Marijn Smit, CEO of Transamerica Asset Management, noted that the move reflects a strategic effort to provide clients with more versatile tools for long-term portfolio construction. Tom Kiley, CEO of Chicago-based Great Lakes Advisors, emphasized that the partnership serves as a mechanism to deliver disciplined investment management to a wider investor base, particularly as market conditions demand more robust diversification. The collaboration connects Transamerica’s reach with the specialized capabilities of Great Lakes Advisors, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corporation.
