CaringKind and UsAgainstAlzheimer's Launch Advocacy Partnership

Women account for nearly two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer’s, yet their voices often remain sidelined in federal policy discussions. To bridge this gap, CaringKind is partnering with UsAgainstAlzheimer’s, inviting members of its '100 Women of Impact' movement to engage directly with Washington policymakers on dementia care.

The collaboration creates a voluntary pathway for the national network of women to influence federal priorities, including research funding, equitable diagnosis, and support systems for care partners. Participants who opt into the program will receive educational resources and direct channels to communicate with legislators, ensuring that policy decisions reflect the real-world experiences of patients and their families.

Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh, President and CEO of CaringKind, emphasized that the initiative aims to activate the collective influence of women in their families and workplaces to drive systemic change. By aligning with the advocacy expertise of UsAgainstAlzheimer's, the movement seeks to dismantle the stigma surrounding the disease while pushing for more robust support structures. George Vradenburg, co-founder of UsAgainstAlzheimer's, noted that bringing lived experiences to Capitol Hill is essential for crafting smarter, more effective healthcare policies.

Participation remains entirely voluntary and nonpartisan, requiring an individual opt-in process rather than automatic enrollment. Women interested in the initiative can access resources through the movement's website or the dedicated portal managed by UsAgainstAlzheimer's.
