Lingverse Unveils iKairos: A Modular AI Wearable With a 'Neural Core'

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Singapore-based Lingverse introduced iKairos, a modular AI wearable designed to function as a persistent observer of human behavior. Powered by a custom operating system called LifeOS, the device acts as a removable 'Neural Core' that shifts between various hardware forms to capture multidimensional life data.

The core of the system is the circular iKairos pendant, which can be docked into different housings, including a desktop robot or a wearable necklace. Unlike traditional AI assistants that react to direct prompts, LifeOS actively monitors routines, interpersonal relationships, and environmental context. By stitching together visual and audio snapshots, the system identifies patterns—such as recurring interests or physical limitations—to offer proactive suggestions, like recommending a specific hobby based on a user’s schedule and health history.

Lingverse CEO Jiawei Gu frames this technology as a step toward embodied intelligence. The modular design allows the 'soul' of the AI to move between devices, retaining a user's preferences whether the core is inside a robot or a necklace. To address the inherent security risks of a device that constantly observes its owner, the company has integrated physical safeguards, including manual camera shutters and mute buttons. All voice processing occurs locally on the device, and Lingverse explicitly states that personal data is not utilized to train the underlying AI models.
