King Risk Partners Acquires New Jersey Agency Conover Beyer

Gainesville-based King Risk Partners has acquired Conover Beyer Associates Insurance, a Manasquan firm with roots dating back to 1882. This strategic move strengthens the 36th-largest U.S. brokerage’s footprint in the Mid-Atlantic by integrating a veteran-owned agency known for its deep expertise in coastal risk and commercial insurance.

The acquisition aligns with King Risk Partners' broader strategy of absorbing established independent agencies to bolster its regional service capabilities. Conover Beyer brings over 140 years of operational history, specializing in complex risk management for sectors including manufacturing, construction, and restaurant operations.

Scott Popilek, CEO of King Risk Partners, noted that the merger enhances the company’s portfolio in employee benefits and personal insurance across the Mid-Atlantic. For the leadership team at Conover Beyer—Art Farren, Mike D'Altrui, and Laura Church—the transition offers access to expanded resources while maintaining the agency's long-standing focus on community relationships and client advocacy.
