Rackspace Investors Face September Deadline in Securities Class Action

Investors who held Rackspace Technology, Inc. stock during the spring of 2026 have until September 28 to petition for lead plaintiff status in a pending federal class action. The litigation follows a sharp 33.6% decline in the company’s share price recorded on July 9, 2026, after disclosures regarding internal revenue shifts.

The lawsuit, filed against the firm and its executives, centers on the period between May 7 and July 8, 2026. Plaintiffs allege that Rackspace misled shareholders by failing to disclose that its enterprise AI initiatives necessitated a significant reallocation of capital away from its profitable Private Cloud segment. Furthermore, the complaint claims management omitted warnings that Public Cloud revenue was shrinking as clients moved toward direct contracts with hyperscale platforms, ultimately threatening the firm's infrastructure resale business.

Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, which is representing the class, suggests that these omissions rendered the company's public statements regarding its fiscal year 2026 outlook materially misleading. Investors seeking to participate in the litigation or those with additional information regarding company conduct are encouraged to contact partner Josh Wilson at 877-247-4292. Participation as a lead plaintiff requires a court filing by the September 28 deadline, though investors may also choose to remain absent class members while still retaining eligibility for potential recoveries.
