The initiative, titled 100 Flags: A WoodmenLife 9/11 Tribute, builds on the company's long-standing Celebrating Red, White & Blue program. Since 1947, the Omaha-based firm has distributed over four million flags, cementing its role as one of the nation’s primary suppliers of the national banner. These pre-game ceremonies aim to unify local communities through the shared tradition of the national anthem.
Kyle McMahan, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, noted that high school football serves as a unique communal anchor. By placing these oversized flags on fields across the country, the organization intends to bridge local rivalries and provide a focused moment of reflection. The company, which manages over $11 billion in assets, views these events as an extension of its broader commitment to supporting American families and strengthening local towns.
