Nihon House Holdings Narrows Quarterly Deficit

Nihon House Holdings trimmed its net loss to 161 million yen for the first quarter ended July 31, a significant improvement over the 320 million yen deficit recorded during the same period last year. The results, reported under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a shift in the company's financial performance.

Revenue for the period reached 6.66 billion yen, rising from 6.11 billion yen a year earlier. Despite the top-line growth, the firm remained in the red, with an operating loss of 85 million yen, compared to the 234 million yen loss posted in the previous fiscal cycle. Pretax figures followed a similar trajectory, moving from a 306 million yen loss down to 136 million yen. On a per-share basis, the company reported a loss of 4.03 yen, narrowing from the 8.01 yen loss seen in 2025.
