The statewide program features 95 in-person gatherings and 35 virtual sessions designed to translate complex climate data into local action. Participants can engage with topics ranging from coastal ecosystem preservation and water conservation to clean energy and green infrastructure projects. Notable events include Orange County’s seminar on hurricane resilience and a marine science showcase titled REEF to Resilience in the Florida Keys.

Institutional support for the week includes partnerships with Florida Gulf Coast University and municipal governments in Jacksonville, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and Fort Lauderdale. Thais Lopez Vogel, co-founder of the VoLo Foundation, noted that the initiative aims to make climate adaptation tangible by highlighting specific efforts within individual neighborhoods and campuses. Jacksonville’s sustainability manager, Ashantae Green, emphasized that the city is hosting over 25 individual events to demonstrate the role of residents in environmental stewardship.
