Co-led by Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW and Ronan Sayburn MS, a panel of 15 judges from 10 countries will evaluate the 2019 vintage selection without knowledge of producer or origin. The group, which includes experts like Julien Boulard and Dr. Jackie Ang, will assess the wines based on balance, intensity, complexity, ageing potential, and distinctiveness. This initiative, serving as the centerpiece of Singapore Wine Week 2026, focuses on how winemaking evolution and climate have altered the markers of quality since the original Paris tasting.

Soo Hoo Khoon Peng, founder of Impeccable APAC and Park90, notes that the event highlights a fundamental shift in wine culture, where high-quality production is no longer confined to traditional European strongholds. Rather than declaring a singular winner, the project aims to analyze whether modern wine styles remain identifiable when stripped of their branding. The findings will be announced on October 4, coinciding with the Fruits of the Vine Wine Fair and The Grand Cellar Auction, which will showcase hundreds of rare bottles to collectors and trade professionals.
