The branding will debut on September 7 during the Seminoles' football game against SMU. Following the launch, the Kin logo will roll out across a wide range of teams, including women’s basketball, baseball, soccer, and track and field. The partnership, facilitated by Legends Global, positions the tech-focused insurer as the preferred insurance provider for the university.
For Kin, which currently manages policies protecting nearly $100 billion in assets, the move serves to deepen its presence in its largest market. CEO Sean Harper noted that the collaboration aligns with the company’s roots in a state where homeowners face increasing insurance costs and severe weather risks. Beyond the visibility on the field, the deal includes support for Florida State’s Dr. William T. Hold/The Alliance’s Program in Risk Management and Insurance, aiming to foster professional development for students entering the industry. Michael Alford, the university’s vice president and director of athletics, emphasized that the investment provides essential resources for student-athletes while maintaining the competitive tradition of the Garnet and Gold.
