Pro-Dex Shares Surge Following Strong Quarterly Revenue Growth

Pro-Dex shares jumped 15% to $71.07 on Friday after the medical device manufacturer reported a 17% increase in fiscal fourth-quarter sales. This revenue spike, reaching $20.4 million, highlights the company's successful pivot back to high-volume production of a critical next-generation orthopedic handpiece for its primary customer.

Pro-Dex Shares Surge Following Strong Quarterly Revenue Growth

The company’s financial performance marks a sharp turnaround from the previous year, with quarterly profit climbing to $2.9 million, or 87 cents a share, compared to $1.2 million, or 36 cents a share, in the prior period. Investors have reacted positively to these results, driving an 88% gain in the stock price throughout the year.

Growth was hampered earlier in the quarter by a product hold placed by the company's largest client. Once that hold was lifted late in the period, Pro-Dex immediately resumed manufacturing and shipping the upgraded orthopedic tool. This rapid resumption allowed the firm to capitalize on pent-up demand, effectively offsetting the slower initial months of the quarter.
