PrimeBOT Secures IFA Honors as Home Robotics Shifts Toward Companionship

Two distinct robotics models from PrimeBOT earned official recognition at IFA 2026 in Berlin this week, signaling a departure from industrial-focused automation. The T1 model captured the award for Content Creation Technology, while the Q1 unit was named an IFA NEXT Honoree, highlighting a strategy centered on domestic integration.

The dual recognition underscores a shift in how the industry views personal robotics. Rather than focusing on single-purpose utility, PrimeBOT is betting on machines designed for family life. The T1 model gained traction for its transformable mobility, while the Q1 captured interest through its ability to simulate long-term companionship and nuanced physical interaction. During live demonstrations at the Messe Berlin floor, attendees interacted with the units, testing the machines' responsiveness to touch and balance.

Speaking at the IFA Dream Stage panel, PrimeBOT International Market CMO Yuan Zou challenged the long-standing industrial benchmarks of robotics. He argued that home robots should not be judged solely by the work they replace, but by their capacity to earn a place within the household through learning and interaction. Zou emphasized that the path to meaningful physical assistance begins with companionship and creativity, rather than task-specific performance. Visitors can test both the T1 and Q1 models at booth H25-150 for the remainder of the event.
