D-Wave Quantum Faces Securities Investigation After Revenue Miss

Investors who suffered financial losses following D-Wave Quantum Inc.’s recent market downturn are now under scrutiny by Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP. The law firm is probing potential federal securities law violations after the company’s stock price plummeted in the wake of disappointing quarterly earnings and executive turnover.

The investigation centers on D-Wave’s performance during the second quarter of 2026. On August 6, the quantum computing firm reported revenue of $3.08 million, missing analyst projections that had anticipated figures between $4.03 million and $4.08 million. This shortfall triggered a share price decline of more than 9%.

Market volatility continued later that month when the company announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, effective September 2. The news prompted a second 9% drop in the company’s stock value on August 26. Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is currently reviewing whether these events constitute a breach of federal securities regulations. The firm, which has historically secured over $25 billion in recoveries for investors, is inviting affected shareholders to participate in a review of their potential legal claims.
