The company is anchoring its strategy on the belief that artificial intelligence will create more jobs than it displaces, provided workers are equipped with the right technical expertise. To this end, Cognizant is scaling its 'Frontier Certified Engineer' and 'Frontier Business Operator' roles, which focus on implementing AI agents to optimize complex workflows. Early results show significant efficiency gains, including one project that reclaimed eleven hours of weekly labor per manager for a food-service client.
Beyond internal hiring, Cognizant is joining the bipartisan coalition RAISE US, which seeks to mobilize $1 billion for national retraining efforts. CEO Ravi Kumar S, who serves on the coalition’s advisory board, emphasized that the firm is doubling its global Synapse skilling goal to reach two million people by 2030. The company is backing these efforts through deep technical partnerships with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Cloud, aiming to position its American recruits at the forefront of enterprise AI deployment.
