The new hardware replaces a fragmented fleet of devices with a unified platform capable of handling fiber, DSL, and mobile connections. These routers support speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, facilitating secure voice services, Ethernet, and virtual private networks. Beyond technical throughput, the equipment marks a shift toward operational efficiency, as the new models consume approximately 35 percent less energy than the solutions they replace, aligning with 1&1 Versatel’s sustainability targets.
