Replit Launches First International Hub in London

London’s King’s Cross Knowledge Quarter now hosts the first international office for Replit, the San Francisco-based software creation platform. Mayor Sadiq Khan joined CEO Amjad Masad for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, signaling a significant push by the company to embed itself within the European enterprise and technology landscape.

Founded in 2016, Replit has grown its user base to 60 million, with adoption spanning 85% of Fortune 500 companies. The London expansion serves as the primary base for European operations, where the firm intends to double its local headcount and investment over the next year. Current European enterprise clients already leveraging the platform include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Mercedes-Benz Group, TrustPilot, and Hg.

Beyond corporate growth, Replit is initiating a social impact program in partnership with The Lord Mayor's Appeal. The collaboration will pilot a four-week course for 100 young Londoners classified as NEET—not in education, employment, or training. The curriculum focuses on "vibe coding," an approach designed to provide disadvantaged youth with technical skills for the modern job market. Minister for AI Kanishka Narayan described the move as a validation of the UK’s position at the forefront of the global AI ecosystem, noting that the integration of such platforms is central to the country's broader technological strategy.
