The company reported a sharp revenue increase to 6.845 billion pounds, up from 3.99 billion pounds in the same period last year. This momentum was largely driven by North American operations, where operating profit more than doubled. According to CEO Mike Norris, this region now accounts for over 60% of the group's total adjusted operating profit.
Following these results, the board declared an interim dividend of 27.1 pence per share, an increase from 23.6 pence a year ago. Investors are also looking toward a substantial product order backlog of 9.3 billion pounds recorded as of June 30, which provides a strong foundation for the remainder of the fiscal year.
