The company now projects revenue between $450 million and $460 million for 2026, a sharp increase from the $280 million to $290 million range issued in August. This adjustment incorporates the operational impact of SkyWater, which IonQ integrated into its business on July 31. The updated forecast accounts for the removal of intercompany revenues that previously existed under the two firms' commercial partnership.
By absorbing SkyWater, IonQ gains an exclusively U.S.-based semiconductor foundry. The facility serves critical sectors including aerospace and defense, providing a strategic manufacturing pillar for IonQ’s quantum hardware roadmap. While the stock remains down year-to-date, the acquisition provides a new scale for the company’s long-term revenue targets.
