The company’s portfolio includes the THD89 series, the first Chinese-developed security chip to earn CC EAL6+ certification. These chips are now staples in global payment networks like Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay. Beyond traditional cards, the firm is pushing its E450R, a RISC-V open architecture security chip already deployed in tens of millions of units across Chinese banking institutions.

Hardware security extends to terminal infrastructure through the company’s Secure MCU series. These components satisfy PCI PTS 7.x and UPTS 3.0 standards, facilitating the deployment of smart POS systems and biometric-enabled security tokens. For national identity programs, the company offers a suite of contactless modules and passport booklets tested by FIME. With a production history of over 27 billion chips, Tongxin Microelectronics aims to leverage its two decades of R&D to capture a larger share of the African digital economy.
