Reconstruction efforts, directed by Engineer Belqasim Khalifa Haftar, transformed the battle-scarred campus into a modern academic hub in just three years. The project encompasses the Faculties of Engineering, Arts, Law, Science, and Languages, alongside critical infrastructure such as the central library, laboratories, and student residences. This initiative represents a broader push to rehabilitate educational facilities across eastern and southern Libya, including ongoing work in cities like Derna, Sirte, and Ajdabiya.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar and international delegations, served as a high-profile showcase of the project’s completion. The event featured a drone display that secured three Guinness World Records, including an eagle formation and a choreographed aerial depiction of the university's name. Beyond physical reconstruction, the Fund has expanded its scope by sponsoring over 1,000 students for international study, aiming to integrate infrastructure development with human capital investment.
