Quimbaya Gold Identifies Porphyry System at Tahami Center

Exploration drilling at the Tahami Center project in Colombia has confirmed the presence of a copper-molybdenum porphyry system, with all six initial holes intersecting mineralized zones. The company is now awaiting assay results to determine the grade and economic viability of the discovery.

Quimbaya Gold completed 2,927.9 meters of drilling across six holes at the Tahami Center site in Segovia, Antioquia. The program targeted a 3.1 by 1.3 kilometer area identified through magnetic inversion and surface mapping. While laboratory assays are pending until late September or October 2026, visual logging of the core has revealed significant potassic alteration and multiphase veining consistent with large-scale porphyry deposits.

The most extensive results came from hole TCDH-006, which intersected approximately 563 meters of potassic alteration, including a 150-meter section of intramineral porphyry. The company noted veinlet densities reaching 50 to 60 per meter, containing chalcopyrite and molybdenite. CEO Alexandre P. Boivin stated that the drilling successfully validated the company's geological model, providing the necessary data on alteration zoning to guide upcoming exploration phases. A seventh hole, TCDH-007, is already underway on the same mineralized trend to further delineate the system's architecture.
