Hanover Foods Targets GLP-1 Market with Minimalist Veggie Line

As demand for weight-loss medications reshapes consumer dietary habits, Pennsylvania-based Hanover Foods has introduced Skinny Veg, a line of frozen sides featuring a strict five-ingredient limit. The company is positioning these vegetable and grain blends as a clean-label solution for users of GLP-1 drugs seeking simple, additive-free meals.

The product range includes four distinct combinations: Broccoli & Quinoa, Brussels Sprouts & Couscous, Spinach & Blackeye Peas, and Riced Cauliflower & Lentils. Each package relies on a base of one vegetable, one grain or legume, avocado oil, pepper, and sea salt. By stripping away preservatives and additives, the manufacturer aims to appeal to health-conscious shoppers who prioritize transparency in their food sourcing.

CEO Jeff Warehime stated that the company intends for the ingredient list to remain the least surprising component of a meal. Following a limited rollout in August, Hanover Foods plans to scale distribution across its full national retail network by early 2027. Founded in 1924, the family-owned producer operates 12 facilities and manages brands including Aunt Kitty’s Foods and Bickel’s Snack Foods.
