Gary Campbell, Brian Hatcher, and Bradley Kessler will step into their new positions reporting directly to CEO Ivan Tornos. Campbell, previously overseeing North American orthopedics, will lead commercial strategy across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Hatcher’s remit expands to include global portfolio strategy for reconstruction, hips, and knees, while Kessler takes charge of the Americas’ robotics and data technology division. The leadership shift coincides with the departure of Kevin Thornal, the current Group President for Global Businesses and the Americas, who will exit the company on September 30.
These changes are designed to accelerate the company’s go-to-market transformation. Kessler’s specific focus on robotics is particularly critical, as the firm prepares to scale its specialized sales force ahead of the upcoming launch of the Monogram orthopedic robot. Despite the internal reorganization, Zimmer Biomet has reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial outlook as presented in August. Tornos characterized the appointments as a strategic alignment of talent to meet commercial priorities, emphasizing confidence in the firm’s growth trajectory for 2027 and beyond.
