The notes, which carry a maturity date of September 15, 2033, include provisions allowing for redemption at the company’s option at par plus a make-whole premium. A broad syndicate of financial institutions is managing the transaction, with BofA Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities, and RBC Capital Markets serving among the joint book-running managers. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions.

Following the repayment of outstanding indebtedness, Ares Capital may reborrow under its existing credit facilities to fund general corporate operations and support new investments in middle-market companies. As a business development company, Ares Capital focuses on originating senior secured loans, subordinated debt, and equity investments. Investors have been directed to review the preliminary prospectus supplement and accompanying filings submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission for complete terms and risk disclosures regarding the offering.
