Ascentech Net Profit Dips as Revenue Slides in Fiscal First Half

Ascentech K.K. reported a net profit of 752 million yen for the six months ended July 31, falling from the 773 million yen recorded during the same period last year. The decline reflects a broader contraction across the company's financial performance as revenue dropped significantly compared to the previous fiscal cycle.

The Japanese firm saw its total revenue slide to 7.90 billion yen, a sharp decrease from the 10.83 billion yen generated in the first half of 2025. This downward pressure extended to profitability metrics, with operating profit falling to 862 million yen from 1.10 billion yen. Pretax profit also saw a notable retreat, settling at 773 million yen against the prior year's 1.12 billion yen.

Following these results, earnings per share for the period reached 17.51 yen, down from 18.07 yen a year earlier. These figures were prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
