By utilizing Boeing’s stock of overhauled assemblies, operators gain a logistical shortcut for heavy maintenance cycles, directly addressing the pressure to minimize downtime.

William Ampofo, senior vice president of parts and distribution at Boeing Global Services, noted that the expansion aims to help operators manage maintenance costs while better aligning service schedules with flight demands. For the manufacturer, this move deepens the support infrastructure surrounding its most popular single-aisle jet, shifting the burden of inventory management away from the airline and back toward the OEM.
