The company’s strategy leans heavily on its T9 truck platform, developed in partnership with Pony.ai and Aulton. By integrating L4 autonomous driving technology and rapid battery-swapping infrastructure, GAC aims to lower autonomous transportation costs by 30% per ton-kilometer. The T9 Robotruck, equipped with a redundant drive-by-wire chassis, features a suite of 25 sensors, while the tractor variant provides a 475-kilometer range with a 603 kWh battery pack capable of full replenishment in under five minutes.
Beyond heavy haulage, GAC introduced MONTX, a brand focused on light commercial vehicles. The rollout includes the P10 and V10 concept vehicles, which utilize the company’s new All-Domain Adaptive Architecture—a modular framework designed to support diverse energy types and vehicle configurations. This launch is supported by the "MONTX Makers" initiative, which invites global users to participate directly in product development.
GAC Commercial Vehicle enters this expansion phase following a 205% year-on-year sales increase during the first half of 2026. Leveraging the existing GAC Group footprint across 110 countries, the manufacturer is scaling its reach for the SMILODON Pro pickup, which is slated for availability in 30 countries by year-end. According to COO Jimmy Du, the goal is to transcend mere product exports by establishing a collaborative, sustainable ecosystem that addresses the evolving demands of global logistics operators.
